The importance of developing the competitiveness of territories in the context of contemporary challenges of globalization and decentralization is substantiated. An analysis of various approaches to assessing and modeling the competitive advantages of territorial communities is conducted, taking into account economic, social, and environmental factors. A conceptual model for managing competitiveness is proposed, which considers the specifics of local development and community needs. The prospects for applying the proposed models in strategic planning and territorial development practices are outlined.
