This chapter reviews the climatic and atmospheric changes expected during the twenty-first century, and suggests some of the consequences of these changes for rangelands that are used primarily for grazing. The topics discussed include atmospheric and climatic changes and their impacts on: plant productivity; forage quality; plant species composition; and implications for management of livestock.
