More and more often, organizations are using the Internet and social media with different purposes, including the selection of new talent. This case shows the impact of social media in the life of Luis Bernal, a young graduated from a bachelors’ degree in Business Management with a major in Finance from a private university in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico. Luis was an active “sharer†through social media, but his digital footprint prevented him from getting hired in a multinational company in central Mexico and this could happen again as other companies may search the Internet for information about him, his digital footprint might prevent him from getting a job in the future
