Income inequality inter-regions is one of complex problem in Indonesia. DI Yogyakarta has a high level of inequality compared to other provinces in the Java. It is proved by Gini index of all provinces in Java Island from 2003 to 2012. This study aimed 1) to count the degree of income inequality between regency/cities, 2 ) to find out the potential sectors and 3) to prove whether Kuznets curve is occurred in DI Yogyakarta. The analysis method that used in this study is analysis of Williamson index and Entropy Theil Index to measure income inequality inter-regions, Location Qoutient analysis (LQ) and shift share analysis to find out potential secotrs in DI Yogyakarta and Typology Klassen analysis to group each region based on economic growth and income per capita and to group sectors in the classification of 4 quadrants.
