TL;DRAbstract

Thе present paper briefly recalls the object, methods and functions of cognitive-discursive future studies a new approach in the political discourse research. The basic constituents of the discussed methods are scripts and models of future in the political discourse of different chronological periods. Using tools of future studies and cognitive linguistics, this approach studies models of future which are based on exploratory forecasts made by authors of political texts in mass media.
