TL;DRAbstract
By the case study of the current sociocultural situation developed in Ukraine the article considers a counter-modernism phenomenon in the context of the archaizing of culture in the postmodern society. This postmodern structure is interpreted as a retrogression to the pre-logic type of thinking. The author affirms that the counter-modern scenario of development is destructive for the post-Soviet countries, which is evidenced by the example of Ukraine, gradually turning into the cultural ghetto. All the archaic manifestations of the culture, which do not contribute to the development of the society and formation of the adequately thinking personality, are harmful and dangerous, for they revert the society to the regressive state and result in the cultural degradation.
