Patients with higher superoxide dismutase levels in the hepatocellular carcinoma survived longer after hepatectomy. The superoxide dismutase levels of the tumor tissue may influence the malignancy and the outcome of the patients. It serves as prognostic factor for patients after hepatocellular carcinoma operation.
