For the 21st-century research library, a commitment to service excellence is as critical to its survival as a commitment to collection building. Building on our long experience in building and promoting distinctive collections, we will explore in this session what it means to identify and make commitments to building and promoting distinctive services that contribute to the unique character, mission, values, and strategic goals of the University of Notre Dame and the Hesburgh Libraries.
