TL;DRAbstract
Night markets of short stints (mostly one to two \nhours) are found to exist mostly in the landlocked \nregions of Kottayam and Idukki districts in Kerala. \nThese markets offer sizeable fish trade with arrivals \nfrom different coastal states. There exist \n“identified” traders and possess “dedicated” roads \nfor the timely disposal of the fish in the shortest \ntime possible. The functioning and performance \nappraisal of the two prominent short stint night \nmarkets in Ernakulam district viz., Perumbavoor and \nMuvattupuzha was studied.
