Article 43 of the Constitution of Costa Rica, in the Chapter on Rights and Individual Guarantees, acknowledges the right to submit disputes to arbitration. Article 43 states that [e]very person has the right to settle disputes of an economic nature by arbitration, even if the dispute is pending before the courts.
