17 fraternity members, representing the range of Impulsive scores on the Thorndike DOT, were ranked by 29 Ss (fellow members of the fraternity) on impulsiveness. The finding of significantly lower accuracy ( r s with the criterion) than consensus ( r s with median subgroup rankings) confirmed the prediction that personal acquaintances are perceived stereotypically.
