TL;DRAbstract

The appearance of Philosophy in 6th century B.C. Greece is a fascinating phenomenon, but imperfectly known. ≪ Pa. Oxy. ≫ 2390, fr. 2, brought some new material of information of difficult interpretretation, but unique in its kind. In that document, a commentator of the 1st-2nd centuries A.D. tells us that the lyric poet Aleman, shortly before Thales, wrote about cosmogony showing that his interest for questions about nature was mingled with a vision of knowledge, and his mythologie poetical writing neither concealed an intense naturalistic accent nor kindered the emergence of notions endowed with a surprisingly abstract nature. Is this a key to solve the problem ?
