TL;DRAbstract

The streching island of Karimunjawa consists of 27 islands has specific and interesting characteristics as a resort area especially maritime resort. The sea natural resource is very potential and gives biggest support for the development of the tourism there. By doing it some people there get advantages and also can increase their prosperous lives. The purpose of this research is : 1) to know the physical condition of those islands in supporting the tourism activities, 2) to know the difference between the fishermen who take advantage from the tourism activities and ones who do not, 3) to survey whether there is in fluence of the tourism development for the prosperity of the people there or not. This research had been conducted during 4 months (from May to Agust 2003), location of research is in Karimunjawa and Kemujan islands, those islands which are the biggest tourism area.
