Most elementary students experience considerable yearly increases in their height in a period of rapid growth in their lives. Consequently, a tremendous challenge has been posed upon teachers and school administrators to devise a designated-seating system that is adaptive to the changing heights of their students to fulfill multiple purposes of vision care, spinal stress alleviation, growth and development sustenance, and efficient learning. This study is an action study that investigates the pre-designated seating system of classroom desks and chairs in an elementary school from a perspective of prudence and pragmatism.
