F. Förster-1953-01-01
0

TL;DRAbstract

Numerous magnetic and electronic sorting instruments are in use in industry today. The paper by McMaster and Wenk presents an excellent list of such sorting methods. This paper essentially is a summary of the usual methods. In the following a non-destructive sorting of various materials with electronic and magnetic methods will be briefly discussed. By the use of a rigorous mathematical treatment of the sorting problem, it has been possible to develop several types of sorting instruments with novel properties. For instance, it has been possible to eliminate the effect of dimensional fluctuations almost completely.
