An understanding of the characteristics, leadership qualities and leadership development needs of young adults in rural North Dakota will be useful in determining the need for leadership development programs in the state. The information may subsequently prove to be useful in developing such programs. This data should be helpful in determining program content and method. This paper goes into great detail on a study that was conducted to determine the perceived abilities of young adults residing in rural areas of North Dakota.
