Workshop Process OverviewThis ECML Workshop focused on describing good practice in the educational approach termed Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL).The workshop identified and considered essential conditions and competencies required so that quality can be achieved and sustained.Dieter Wolff (Germany) opened the event with a keynote address 'Approaching CLIL' which guided the audience towards a shared understanding of CLIL, particularly with respect to language and subject teaching.The majority of the participants came from language education backgrounds, and this was an important stage in showing the position of CLIL with respect to other educational approaches such as languages for specific purposes and communicative language teaching.Stefka Kitanova (Bulgaria) followed with an example of good quality resources used in CLIL (Science Across the World).This presentation showed how various forms of materials and methodologies, and networking tools, can facilitate the work
