TL;DRAbstract

Some twenty roads, in Africa and Numidia, received milestones from the Roman Army. The milestones are divided into two main groups. In the first category, we can read the name of the unit and of the governor of the province, proconsul or legatus Augusti. In the second category, the name of the unit is omitted ; we can just find the name of the officer who ordered to built the road. These milestones are distrib- uted across the whole region, from the Sahara to the sea, and from Tripolitania to theWestern part of Numidia.
