Peanuts originated in South America; however, the vast majority of peanut is produced in Asia (66.8%: 23.4 Mt) /lndia Africa (24.6%: 8.6 MI). The remaining 8,6% (3 Mt) comes from North America, the Caribbean, Europe, and Oceania
