TL;DRAbstract
This paper analyses the appliance foreground of lined rock caverns (LRC) based on starving for the natural gas stored underground in China. It firstly points out the necessity of lined rock cavern construction according to the present situation of the construction and application of lined rock caverns, and then expounds the advantages of the principle and technology of LRC and analyses its feasibility in economy, occupation land, safety, environmental protection, construction cycle, risk and development, etc. At last it draws the conclusion that the LRC can be developed on a large scale in China.
