Carbon stock of peatland in the oil palm agroecosystem plays an important role in balancing global climate to support sustainable management of oil palm plantation. The study was carried out in oil palm agroecosytem of PTPN IV Ajamu, Labuhan Batu, North Sumatera. The aims of the study were to calculate carbon stock of peatland, to calculate carbon biomass based on destructive method and to develop allometric equation for estimating carbon biomass of oil palm. Data were collected by field measurement and laboratory analysis.
