TL;DRAbstract
This work uses a social constructionist paradigm in which the premise is that the ideas hidden behind hijab are reflective of the socialization process found within some Muslim countries in order to control Muslim women. The image of the hijab is linked to politics, economics, ancient Arabic cultural patterns and Arabic history, as well as the psychological effects it may have had on some Muslim women.
