TL;DRAbstract

The purpose of this thesis is the study of the holy temple of “Pammegiston Taxiarhon” located in Milies of Pelio mountain as well as its comparison to other post-Byzantine era holy temples. This paper presents all the facts that we managed to collect during our conducting research, study and information matching. The aim of the first chapter of the paper is to approach a deeper acquaintance with the region of Milies. Furthermore, this chapter reveals all the details on the phases/uses of the “Pammegiston Taxiarhon” holy temple. There is also a special reference in this chapter to all those who contributed to the development of the temple by their financial assistance, as well as to those responsible for its construction. However, the passing years and natural phenomena have left their mark both inside and outside the temple and gave rise to the start of a series of repairs.
