TL;DRAbstract

Fe40Ni40Si20, Fe40Co40Si20 alloy was prepared by mechanical alloying. XRD has been used to study the phase transformation. The result showed that α-Fe(bcc) and γ-Fe(fcc) solid solution would be achieved after Fe40Ni40Si20 ball milling for 36 hours. After further ball milling, the supersaturated a phase would be decomposed and transformed into γ phase gradually. The complete γ-Fe supersaturated solid solution would be achieved after ball milling for 72 hours. Α-Fe supersaturated solid solution would be achieved after Fe40Co40Si20 ball milling for 36 hours, and new phase was not been discovered after further ball milling.
