TL;DRAbstract

As technology continues to evolve, so does society. Seventeen-year-old computer hacker Hallie Fletcher encounters more change than she could ever expect in the year 2099 as computer hardware installed in the brain, Brainware, begins attacking some users. While trying to stop the virus from spreading, Hallie is also navigating toxic relationships and fighting misogyny at every turn. A young adult science fiction novel in progress, ForceQuit works not only as a coming of age story, but also as an examination of what it means to be a young woman in a man’s world.
