TL;DRAbstract
Chitosan can be used to heavy metals adsorption in veneering’s liquid waste, and also can be used as raw material in manufacturing of chitosan membrane by dissolved it in 1 % acetic acid solution, which the manufacturing conducted thorough phase inversion stage that is by evaporate the solvent. The concentration of chitosan membrane varied at 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 % and residence times at 10, 30, 60, 90, and 120 minutes, respectively. Membrane is formed on glass plate, then dried at room temperature for 6 hours. Analysis and tensile test were carried out by using Atom’s Adsorption Spectrofotometry (AAS) and Universal Testing Machine. Chitosan membrane used to reduce chrom (Cr) and nickel (Ni) metals’ concentration in veneering’s liquid waste. From the experiment result is obtained the best condition to Cr metal adsorption were 3 % concentration of chitosan membrane, 30 minutes contact time, whereas 99,87 % of adsorption.
