TL;DRAbstract

Objective To study congenital tooth anomaly of Angle class Ⅱ division 2 malocclusion and investigate the relationship between them. Methods A study was done in 102 untreated patients, age 12-49 years old, with Angle class Ⅱdivision 2.The data of BOLTON index discrepancies and congenital tooth anomalies such as small size of maxillary lateral incisors, missing lower incisors, supernumerary teeth, tooth impactions, transposed teeth and rotated teeth were analyzed. Results In malocclusion of class Ⅱ division 2, 50.00% of the patients had congenital tooth anomaly. The BOLTON index discrepancies of anterior teeth accounted for 42.16%, of full-mouth teeth for 41.18%. The results also showed that there were 25.49% of the patients with small size of maxillary lateral incisor, 10.78% with missing lower incisor, no supernumerary tooth, 3.92% with tooth impaction, 2.94% with transposed tooth and 7.84% with tooth reversed about 90°. Conclusion The incidence of congenital tooth abnormality is highe
