The serum immunoglobulins and circulating immune complexes (CIC) concentrations and phagocyte activity of neutrophils were studied in patients with biliary diseases (BDj. The strong increase of the IgA and CIC concentrations in serum and phagocyte activity of neutrophils of pts with BD was observed. The increase of the serum IgA and IgA-CIC concentrations is possibly due to the presence of chronic «bland» intrahepatic cholestasis in pts with the BD.
