FDG PET-CT in chronic lymphocytic leukemia
TL;DRAbstract
1772 Objectives: To assess the diagnostic utility of hybrid PET-CT with FDG in patients with known CLL Methods: We performed 11 PET-CT scans (Siemens Biograph) in 7 patients (3 male, 4 female, age range 50-70 years) with clinically confirmed CLL. CT transmission scans were obtained after administration of oral contrast material. Two patients underwent both pre- and post-treatment scans. Diagnostic validation was by a combination of clinical and radiographic follow-up for 6 months to 8 years. Maximum standardized uptake values (SUVmax)were obtained for all evident lesions. Results: All 7 patients had clinically proven CLL and 2 developed clinically evident Richter’s transformation. SUVmax in transformed disease ranged from 10 to 30 for the evident adenopathy, splenomegaly and osseous involvement. The SUVmax ranged for subcentimeter nodes were 1.7-3. SUVmax in the remaining 5 patients ranged from 1.3 to 2.1 for the evident adenopathy. CT identified adenopathy or splenomegaly in 4 patient
