TL;DRAbstract

The specific radioactivity and relative specific radioactivity of soluble phosphorous compounds in the various organs of rats were measured after whole-body x irradi1, ation of various doses. A slight decrease in the specific aetivity of acid-soluble inorganic phosphorus was ob, served in the liver, kidneys, spleen, and intestine, following x irradiation of 1000 r. The specific activity of P/sup 32/ in acid-soluble organic phosphorus, fatty phosphorus, and DNA was found to be slightly decreased. However, these indexes were rapidly restored to the normal level. On the other hand the recovery of decreased specific radioactivity of P/sup 32/ in RNA was relatively delayed. (Abstr. Japan Med., 2, No. 1, Jan. 1962)
