Adopting an intercultural perspective (Mantovani 2004), which falls within a constructivist paradigm, and in line with the so-called "contextual revolution" (Bruner, 1990), this research pays particular attention to the use of language as a "form of life" (Wittgenstein, 1953). Specifically, the aims of this research is to investigate the meanings through which are constructed discursively knowledge of specific therapeutic practices, such as psychotherapy, the so-called Alternative Therapies, and practice religious of Christian Exorcism, still practiced in Italy today. Adopting the Discursive Psychology, and the Positioning Theory as a theoretical horizon (Davies and Harré, 1990; Harré and van Langenhove, 1999), the research hypothesis is that each specific group produces a text and use a language typical of the "discursive positioning".
