TL;DRAbstract

The $B^{2}\\Sigma^{+}X^{2}\\Pi$ band system of the GeCl molecule wag recorded at high resolution and studied. A natural sample of $GeCl_{4}$ was used to produce the GeCl bands in a microwave discharge. Rotational analysis of the 3022 {\\AA} and 3059 {\\AA} bands is carried out. Rotational constants for the $^{74}Ge^{35}Cl, ^{72}Ge^{35}Cl$ and $^{70}Ge^{35}Cl$ molecules are derived.
