Part I: Geology of the Ivory's Rock area. Part II: Hemiptera: Homoptera (insecta) from the Upper Triassic Mount Crosby formation, South East Queensland
TL;DRAbstract
The Ivory's Rock area of south-east Queensland contains a large number of small Miocene intrusives related to the nearby Mt. Flinders trachyte. The dominant rock types pre sent are intermediate to acid trachytes with minor basalts and rhyolites. Fifteen analyses were carried out and, from the trends observed, the Mt. Flinders series follows a differentiation trend typical of mildly alkali basalt lineages. The major and minor elements exhibited normal behaviour during this process with the exception of K2O which decreased slightly in the later intrusives. Rb increased during differentiation while Sr decreased. Zn values are unusually high. Many of the early trachyte phases contain aegirine-augite and arfedsonite, while the late stage trachyte dykes and rhyolites contain no mafic minerals. A fayalite olivine appears in the alkali olivine trachytes. Minor arfedsonite and biotite are the only hydrous phase minerals present. With the possible exception of the basalts and the Mt. Flinders in
