Wachstum metallischer Nanoclustern auf Polymeroberflächen
TL;DRAbstract
Growth and properties of metallic nanoclusters on polymer surfaces lead to interesting physical questions. At the same time clusters on polymers have a high potential with regard to technical applications. In this work both the polymer-matrix (Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA), Poly-bisphenol-A-Carbonate (PC)) and the metallic clusters (Silver, Gold, Copper, Palladium) were perpared under ultrahigh vacuum conditions using pulsed laser deposition (laserwavelength: 248nm, pulseduration: 30ns) in a one step process. As analytical methods transmission electron microscopy, conventional (TEM) and at high resolution (HRTEM), X-ray reflectometry (XRR), atomic force microscopy (AFM), fourier transformed infraredspectrocopy (FTIR) and spectroscopy in the ultraviolett and visible region (UV-Vis) were used. Polymer films werde analysed in terms of their chemical properties as well as their surface morphology.A close look at single processes during the deposition of metal atoms and ions on the polymer
