TL;DRAbstract

Anchovies belonging to the (family Engraulidae) are
\nthe small pelagic fishes and constitute one of the most
\nimportant-pelagic resources in the world. This forms about
\n12.8 % of the world fish production during the years
\n1996-2000. This group includes some of the world
\nfamous fisheries like the peruvian anchovita, Californian,
\nChilean and Japanese anchovies. Peruvian anchovita,
\nEngraulis ringens is one of the most dynamic fisheries of
\nthe world and a classical case of how ,the fishery
\nindependent factors influence the resource. The economy
\nof the country legends on the success of the anchovita
\nfishery and failure of it puts the nation in red. Other
\nimportant anchovies of the world are Japanese anchovy
\n1.28 million tonnes.
