The Private and Public initiatives are specified by means of goals attained, centered on the employee.Now-a-days, employees are considered the organization's greatest asset and need to be evaluated to identify trainings and developing needs, to attend to the promoting, transferring and firing processes.Moreover, to provide feedback in the corrective process of possible work related misconducts.The publication of Decree No 7133/2010 is a singular Brazilian Public Administration management act.The old labor relationship based on paternalism begins to loose space to meritocracy.This Decree initiates a performance evaluation based process, on clear criteria and objectives that once were only present in the private sector.In this paper there's the intention of analysing the relationship between performance evaluation and productivity, which has great importance for the public sector (the focus of this initiative), because efficiency is a Constitutional principle of the Public Administration
