TL;DRAbstract

The article presents an historical and epistemic analysis of the structures of the Mexican family. It extracts the paradigms that more frequently have been reproduced in order to consider the model of man which they promote and the moral values that are esteemed and carried out right there.  This is done with  the purpose of sketching a new family paradigm which is able to rescue and strengthen features, characteristics and values whose consequences are considered as positive for the realization of a person, a family and the nation; at the same time it is triet to overcome limitations and correct errors. The main purpose of the study is the search for elements and functions, structural relationships and values which will make possible a general definition of the identity of the family in Mexico,
