TL;DRAbstract

The feasibility of applying dispersion strengthening to uranium was demonstrated with uranium-alumina alloys prepared by the mechanical mixing of uranium hydride and alumina powders. Creep-rupture tests indicated significant high-temperature properties of dispersion-strengthened uranium as compared to unalloyed uranium. (auth)
