TL;DRAbstract

[EN] The criteria for the varietal classification of Triticum aestivum L.s.l. are given in the form as has been used by Mansfeld (1951) in his recent review. Keys are given for the varietal classification of this species, including the purple grain varieties chini and blaringhemi described by Chun (1949), and adding to the synonymy of var. lutinflatum (Flaksb.) Msf. the variety huangyangense Hosono.
