TL;DRAbstract

Mel Dodd,co-director of an acclaimed international artist and architect collaborative, researched new modes of design practice. Her aim was to demonstrate through designing an expanded definition of design practice. In this architects work with the usual stakeholders, but also meaningfully with specific communities. She identified enabling professional personas capable of engaging with all stakeholders, and discovered alternative scales and products for architectural practice that provide modes of engagement with communities beyond the boundaries of conventional professional practice.
