TL;DRAbstract
The high energy efficiency of using a five-step interference polarization filter in the cavity of a lamp-pumped dye laser to isolate the narrow lasing line and retune it within the dye luminescence bandwidth limits is shown. When the lasing spectral line is narrowed by more than three orders of magnitude, the lasing energy is reduced by less than a factor of 2.
