Thermal Conductivity of Boron Carbide From 100 C To 800 C

TL;DRAbstract

The thermal conductivities of three boron carbide specimens with densities from 1.90 to 2.5 grams per cc were measured over a temperature range from 100° to 800° C. Thermal conductivities decreased with temperature. Measured values ranged from 0.158 to 0.284 watts cm-1 °C-1 at 100°C and from 0.082 to 0.146 watts cm-1 °C at 800°C, the variation at a given temperature being a function of density and composition.|
