It is clear that policing is one of the most stressful and physically challenging occupations that an individual can engage in. Research consistently indicates that the stress and physical exhaustion police officers experience leads to a myriad of psychological, lifestyle, and relationship problems including divorce, alcoholism, domestic violence, and emotional disturbances.
