Memória e ensino de história: uma experiência na educação de jovens e adultos

TL;DRAbstract

This study introduces and analyzes some potential aspects of the relationship between memory and the teaching of history, from the standpoint of the teacher/researcher's experiences as a learner and educator. In the first chapter, the concept of memory is constructed by many authors, in special Meneses, Guarinello, Bosi and Nora. Memory is presented as something alive, deprived from its capitalist product characteristics . We then analyze two teaching projects, involving the same topic, developed by the State of So Paulo public education sector, in which we had the opportunity to participate. In the second chapter, we stress the role of patrimonial education (heritage education) as a way to link memory to the teaching of history.
