Emotional health is discussed as a construct and a new subject of socio-psychological researches. Emotional health is considered as a backbone factor of human existence, functional manifestation of personal socio-psychological maturity, and potential aspiration to live in harmony with oneself and other people. The author believes that the criteria of emotional health are associated with person’s interaction with the environment, involvement in different types of relationships; they represent person''s awareness of emotions, empathy, modality of emotional images of other people, interest in the activities, experience of reciprocity, a sense of belonging to a group.
