Comportamentos comunicativos dos medicos e satisfação das mulheres em consulta por infertilidade conjugal
TL;DRAbstract
Objective: to assess women's satisfaction with the communication of medical residents during an infertility consultation at a Human Reproductive Unit, in a university service. Subjects and methods: in this observational descriptive study, the follow-up visits of 124 women, attended by 7 medical residents at the Human Reproduction Unity of the Gynecology and Obstetrics Department of the School of Medicine of Universidade Estadual de Campinas -UNICAMP, were observed. Data were registered on a structured, pre-tested observation checklist guide. After consultation, women were interviewed about their reaction to physicians' communication behaviors. Their ratings were recorded on a structured, pre-tested questionnaire. Factor analysis was used to define the underlying structure in our data matrix, and to build a satisfaction score, which was then correlated with physicians' communicative behaviors and with control variables through Sperman correlation coefficient, Wilcoxon and Kruskal Wallis
