With the economy globalization, M&A movement among steel industry is becoming more visible. Taking Mittal Steel Company (Korea) as an example, steel industry in Korea is still in a passive position though it has the advantage in the acquisition. Thus, the industry must actively make use of M&A and strengthen the strategic alliance with joint foreign ventures and related domestic enterprises. Moreover, Korea's governments should regard M&A as a strategy and support the domestic industries to take the initiative in the acquisition.
