Influencia dos polimorfismos dos genes IL1B-511C/T, IL1B+3953C/T, IL1RN VNTR, TNF-308G/A e IL6-174G/C na mucosite oral apos transplante de celulas-tronco hematopoeticas

TL;DRAbstract

Mucositis is a frequent complication of high-dose chemoradiotherapy regimens commonly used as conditioning therapy before hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT).The debilitanting effects of mucositis can result in impair quality of life and increase the risk of sepsis in patients submitted to HSCT.The mechanisms involved in the pathobiology of oral mucositis are complex and has not been fully elucidated. Its well known the role of IL-1, IL-6 and TNF in pathogenesis of mucositis, as part of the group of agents triggering the inflammatory process, initiated by free radicals arising from the toxicity of chemotherapy drugs used in conditioning regimens.Genotypic variations, such as polymorphisms, can contribute to individual susceptibility to side effects of anticancer treatment. Thus, the goal of this study was to evaluate retrospectively the influence of polymorphisms IL1B-511C/T, IL1B+3953C/T, IL1RN VNTR, TNF-308G/A e IL6-174G/C in oral mucositis and survival post-HSCT.The analysi
