TL;DRAbstract

For an angular distribution which is known to be actually isotropic, data on projected angles measured for >9000 tracks from alpha stars in NIKFl-R emulsions are perfectly compatible with isotropy. Hence, the absence of instrumental effects simulating a nonexisting lack of isotropy is inferred, as far as projected angle measurements are concerned. This fact is of importance in the discussion of emulsion angular data on pi - mu decay at rest. Furthermore, the probable existence of an alpha - alpha angular correlation for Rn/sup 220/ and Po/sup 216/ is pointed out ( approximates 99% confidence limit). (auth)
