TL;DRAbstract

[EN] Two corn cultivars are compared as whole green plant feeding: The cultivar AD-85, a normal grain cultivar, and "Hybrid White", so called "forrajera" in the market.
\nThe morphological analisys of the plant shows a stalk prevalence in the cultivar "Hy. W" (over 55% of the plant dry matter) with a maximum grain content of 15%. In other side, the cultivar "AD-85" had a maturity a 33% of grain and 39.2% of stalks. The chemical analysis reveals a lower content of crude protein of "Hy. W" (1 point) and also a higher content of crude fiber (3 points on the average).
\nDigestibility trials in wethers allowed to estimate at the dought stage a value in net energy units of 0.74 FU/Kg DM ("AD-85") and of 0.57 FU/Kg DM ("HY. W.). The DCP content of "Hy. W" was 57% lower than the "AD-85" one.
\nThe DM/ha production of "Hy. W" attained its maximum at the early milk stage with 11.7 Tm/ha, whereas for "AD-85" it advanced up to maturity with 14.2 Tm/ha. see this allows to suggest that "
